The Texas Department of State Health Services announced that Operation Border Health has been cancelled at all Rio Grande Valley sites.

The annual event provides free health services to the community. Operation Border Health 2025 was originally scheduled for the week of July 21 through July 25 in all four Valley counties.

According to social media posts from the Cameron County Public Health and Hidalgo County Health and Human Services departments, the cancellation was triggered due to funding issues.

The Texas Health and Human Services website confirmed the cancellation, adding that an update will be provided with "information about future events."
