The Pioneer Diamondbacks took down the Corpus Christi Rays in a tight three game series last week. Losing Game 1, but winning the next two to secure their spot in the regional semifinal. 

This week, the Diamondbacks take on 26-9 Liberty Hill in the regional semifinal. The Diamondbacks are back at the same stage as the team was in 2022 when the seniors on this team were just freshman. 

"That's a testament to what these guys have done, said Pioneer head baseball coach Adrian Leal. "You know they put in a lot of works in the offseason, they kept the standard high of what we have here at Pioneer and they've executed well."

The series will start on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at Somerset High School with Game 2 scheduled for Saturday.
