PSJA baseball is in the regional semifinal. Making it back to this round once more after previously making it to this stage in 2023.

The Bears are a perfect 4-0 so far this postseason, sweeping each of their first two series.

On the schedule for this week is Austin Westlake, a team that the Bears certainly have a lot of respect for.

"You hear Austin Westlake, it's a top-notch team in the state," PSJA head baseball coach Marco Guajardo said. "It's great that our kids are gonna have the opportunity, especially going to Westlake and playing in their house and then having Westlake come to our house and play here."

The Westlake Chaparrals are 27-6-1 on the season, having also posted a 4-0 record through the first two rounds and only giving up two runs in the process.

The Bears and Austin Westlake have agreed to a home-and-home series. That means on Saturday, Game 2 and potentially Game 3 (if necessary) will be played at Cain Baseball Stadium in San Juan in front of the Bears home crowd. Game 1 is in Austin on Thursday with first pitch scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
