Roma's Gael Rodriguez signed to run track at Texas A&M-International on Tuesday afternoon.

The Dustdevils program, based out of Laredo, competes in the Lone Star conference at the Division II level.

Rodriguez says he chose to join Texas A&M-International in part to stay close to home and is ready to give everything he has to the Dustdevils track and field program.

"Texas A&M-International can expect a lot," Rodriguez said. "They can expect a dedicated athlete willing to sacrafice, willing to put in the work, the mileage no matter the circumstances. They're gonna be getting a good athlete."
