Valley High School Spring Football 2025: Nikki Rowe Warriors
It's a new era of football at Nikki Rowe High School. The Warriors under new leadership with head coach Jamaar Taylor stepping in.
The team is taking part in spring football in their first year under Taylor. The extra time is helping Taylor set the foundation for what he wants the program to look like moving forward, and helping the players learn a new offensive scheme.
"Everything is just completely different now, like I said. We wake up at 6 in the morning, everyone's just fired up," Nikki Rowe sophomore tight end Jesse James Cantu said. "We're just hyped up, the moment we step on the field everyone's locked in."
"It's definitely been excellent," Warriors junior middle linebacker Dante Rodriguez added. "Coming from his pedigree with all the achievements that he's gotten, it's been easy to buy in to what he's been trying to establish."
While these spring sessions offer a little extra help considering the program is undergoing significant changes, spring football is something that Coach Taylor clearly values regardless of it being his first season.
"I wholeheartedly believe in spring football every year no matter what. Obviously as a new coach coming in, evaluating our players our staff, getting them used to our tempo, our speed at which we play, it's vital. I'll always be a spring football guy. We get answers," said Nikki Rowe head football coach Jamaar Taylor.
