Sheriff’s office: Woman facing manslaughter charge following deadly Donna shooting
A 21-year-old woman will be arraigned on a manslaughter charge in connection with a shooting investigation, the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Miriam Valdez is facing the manslaughter charge after the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office said they detained a person of interest in connection with a body found with an apparent gunshot wound in rural Donna.

Deputies with the sheriff’s office responded to a residence on the 13000 block of Hermosa Vida Drive in rural Donna Sunday at around 3 p.m. where they found a body of an unidentified 20-year-old man inside a vehicle on the property.
The male appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound, the sheriff’s office preciously said.
Valdez is set to be arraigned Monday afternoon.
